About Monica Buchanan
Monica Buchanan is a United States Army Service-Connected Disabled Veteran. She is a proud military wife, mother of five adult children, and has lived in North Carolina longer than she spent in her native state, South Carolina. Since the young age of eight years old, Monica has been interested in Free Enterprise and entrepreneurship.
Among her various degrees and certifications, earning her MBA, in 2010, was a turning point in her career. While she has been focused on business since her youth, she decided that she wanted to develop guidelines and planning processes to help more self-employed business owners achieve their goals and transition to becoming small business owners. Her MBA was the catalyst that prompted Monica to obtain a Doctorate in Business Administration.
MDBuchanan & Associates, LLC was established by its President and CEO, Mrs. Monica Buchanan, in 2001. Monica is a Business Developer, Accounting Professional, an Individual and Expert Business Income Tax Preparer also known as an Enrolled Agent, and an “Entrepreneur at heart”. Mrs. Buchanan currently owns and operates an accounting firm, income tax preparation services company, online retail store, and a home health care agency. She thought it wise to focus on one aspect of MDBuchanan & Associates dba Nations Taxation since it is tax time.
